Welcome to Aq-Uti!

Aq-Uti is a Chumash word meaning "Always."

Aq-Uti Incorporated is a non-profit corporation, run by a board of California Chumash Native People.  Our main objective is to preserve and show continuity with the Chumash Culture from many aspects dealing with life and death.

Aq-Uti has different avenues of education for all people, although we do make an effort to be available for all Chumash Natives.

With 400 beautiful acres of natural rolling pastures, our land is an ideal place for horses to roam, and Aq-Uti established a refuge for unwanted horses.

Many of these horses have looked at me and said, "Save Me."  It sounds so simple, but that has impacted our lives here at the Aq-Uti Ranch.  We will do the best we can for them.  Please click here to read some of these horse's stories, and to find out how you can help us give them a new life of freedom and dignity.
